Brazil and United States Healthcare Essay Example for Free

Brazil and United States Healthcare Essay Abstract The topic of health care has become the most pressing and ongoing debates for not only the United States but also many other nations around the world. Many countries have implemented a universal health coverage for years with effective results. While the United States steps into a immature national health care program, the government can observe Brazil’s health care system to learn valuable lessons. The type of health care system a country chooses has a major effect on the country’s health care professionals. While comparing the health care professionals of the United States and Brazil, many similarities can be seen; however, the United States can learn many lessons from Brazil. A Comparative Analysis of Health Care Professionals in Brazil to Those in the United States The latest topic in the United States today, is the subject of healthcare reform in the United States. With the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) upheld by the Supreme Court in 2012, Americans everywhere have formed an opinion about the new national health care system—most opinions viewing the national system as negative. However, several developed nations similar to the United States have partaken in a national health care system for years. The large nation of Brazil has utilized a national health system since 1923, and has seen both positives and negatives. Many Americans see the supply and demand of health care professionals as a potential threat to the future of the ACA and the United States as a whole—a definite issue that has affected Brazil. In Brazil, health care is viewed as a constitutional right being offered by private and government organizations and is an obligation of the state. Through the Unified Health System (SUS), public health care is universal and provided free of charge to all Brazilian permanent residents. In addition to the United Health System, Brazilians also have private based health insurance coverage which the wealthier population can usually purchase, and Brazilians can be offered health  coverage by their respective employers if available. As of 2003, 174.6 million Brazilian residents receiving benefits from the SUS were documented. Of the 174.6 million, 475,699 healthcare professionals existed within Brazilian health care. In 2012, the total percentage of GDP spent on health expenditure in Brazil was at a four-year high of 9.3%. However, Brazil’s health expenditure is far lower than the United States health expenditure that spent a total of 17.9% in 2012. In Brazil the average life expectancy has been on the rise since 2000. In 2010, average Brazilian life expectancy was reported at 73.5 years with a life expectancy for men at 69.7 and for women at 77.3. The infant mortality rate in Brazil has been decreasing over the years, but is still considered high for a developed nation. Maternal mortality rate in Brazil is also decreasing in years and would be considered average compared to other countries. In an attempt to improve the national health care system in Brazil, the Brazilian government established the â€Å"Mais Medicos† program, or more doctors program, in 2013. The project was aimed to create close to 1,000 jobs for physicians to tend to patients in the 22 states that have fewer doctors than the national average—most of the states lying in the Northern region of the nation. In addition to their salaries, doctors are provided financial aid to cover housing and sustenance per municipalities of the government. The program will employ physicians temporarily while the Brazilian government looks to increase attendance to Brazilian medical schools over a short amount of time by offering substantial amounts of financial aid and increasing expenditures on medical school scholarships. Originally, the program was offered to Brazilian resident doctors only in an attempt to bring doctors from the more populated and urban areas to the rural and less populated areas. When few residential doctors applied, the Brazilian government extended Mais Medicos to Brazilian doctors who received their education overseas and foreign doctors. Prior to applying, it was suggested that applicants should have a general understanding of the Portuguese language in order to be accepted into the program. At the end of the application process, nearly 20,000 doctors had submitted applications with listed preferences of the cities that they wish to work in. Doctors involved in the program are required to work 40 hours a week for three years and may work no longer than 6 years in the program. The physicians accepted into the Mais Medicos program receive 10,000 Brazilian  Reals (an equivalent to $4,501 US dollars) per month to spend on housing and necessities. During 2013, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff imported nearly 11,000 Cuban physicians to serve in the program. Cuban physicians were to serve similar hours, but their salaries would be sent to the Cuban government who would distribute 40%-50% of the earnings to the physicians working in Brazil. This exchange has been an ongoing debate between the medical community of Brazil and its government. The benefits listed above are considered to be beneficial to physicians. The life expectancy, infant mortality rate, and maternal mortality rate are all at a good standing compared to recent generations in Brazil; therefore, the physicians having these characteristics as a resume topic shows that they were a part of a â€Å"change† in Brazil. Although the Mais Medicos program seems to have some flaws and a definite group that disapproves of it, it also is seen by many to do well for the health care system in Brazil and has many supporters. The common problem in Brazil for health care professionals seems to be a lack of distribution of doctors into the more rural areas of the country. On average in Brazil, there are only 2 hospital beds per 1,000 people. In the northern regions of Brazil, where more rural areas are found, the amount of hospitals per resident is lower than the average. Much like in the United States, doctors are very reluctant to the thought of beginning a practice in a small rural town. Reasons being that small rural towns are usual ly less populated and on average bring in less household income. In Brazil, the idea of practicing medicine in these depressed areas is even less glamorous because of the government involvement in health care. In these areas, practices receive less attention including lack of supplies and infrastructure. Physicians located within wealthier and more populous areas have slightly better access to equipment and infrastructure, but the conditions differ only slightly. Doctors are extremely rushed with a constant overflow of patients and consistently working in hot rooms with little air circulation. This is problem does not only exist in the public clinics of general physicians. Specialist physicians have a persistent flood of patients who do not need a specialist’s care, but seek the specialist because there is no general physician available. Another challenge that Brazil’s physicians face is the complete absence of electronic health records (EHRs). Although electronic health records can be difficult and  costly to implement, the benefits of them to a health system that lacks infrastructure can be monumental. EHRs improve quality, convenience, care coordination, practice efficiencies, and cost efficiencies. Implementing electronic health records would improve the quality of Brazil’s physicians work environment. The last challenge Brazil physicians face is the existence of corruption within the system. One example includes Brazil’s wealthier population paying physicians under the table to treat them before others. While some patients are in dire need of an operation or treatment, a wealthier patient has the opportunity to offer the physician an amount of money that will sway the physician to treat their situation before others—even though the others have been waiting an extended amount of time. Unfortunately, these types of situations are not illegal in Brazil; therefore, it happens frequently. In the United States, health care has only recently been provided as â€Å"universal coverage†. It is an ongoing debate to whether health care in America is a right or a privilege. The United States has always offered free health coverage to the elderly and the poor—paid for by taxpayers. In 2010, Medicare and Medicaid covered at least 112,979,783. In addition to Medicare and Medicaid, most of the American population has chosen to receive employer-based health coverage. The number of Americans with employer-based health coverage, however, has been declining since the discussion of the Affordable Care Act. Since the Affordable Care Act has come about, over 8 million people have signed up for coverage with 87% of the newly insured being previously uninsured. In 2012, the World Bank reported that there were 2.5 physicians per 1,000 people. In 2012, the total percentage of GDP spent on health expenditure in the United States was at a 17.9%. This total is far greater than the amount of GDP spent on health expenditure in Brazil. In the United States the average life expectancy has steadily increased over generations. The life expectancy reported in 2012 was 78.7 years. Although it would normally be a slight age difference, it is an incredible gap for life expectancy with Brazil at 73.5. The infant mortality rate in the United States has been steady over recent years at 6 deaths per 1,000 births. Maternal mortality rate is significantly lower in the U.S. than Brazil with Brazil at 69 deaths per 100,000 births and the United States at 28 deaths per 100,000 births. Overall, physicians  working in the United States would have a greater professional advantage over those who practice in Brazil. Not only does the United States report superior statistics for life expectancy, infant mortality rate, and maternal mortality rate, but the United States is generally a wealthier nation than Brazil. Because the United States has been a democracy for over 200 years and because of their general wealth, it is likely that the United States is in a better position to take over a health care system plan like Brazil’s. Much like Brazil, the United States new ACA health care plan has cut the uninsured rate in half and will continue decreasing the number of uninsured over the next several years. In regards to the corruption that Brazil faces on a daily basis with the wealthy paying physicians under the table, the United States cannot completely rule out the possibilities of that happening within the new health care system. However, regulations and laws have been established to prevent such situations. While there are many benefits to becoming a healthcare professional in the United States, there are also some challenges. One of the greatest challenges that physicians in the United States will face under the ACA is the growing number of patients who need to be seen by a doctor. New patients will flood waiting rooms with problems that may be preexisting with no prior treatment. However, doctors may not mind seeing more patients per day, because the amount of insurance reimbursement doctors receive will continue to decline. This is because the Affordable Care Act not only set out to achieve health care for more Americans, but it also set out to decrease overall health care costs. With the discussion of the ACA causing insurance reimbursement shrinkage and higher insurance premiums, it will become more costly to run a private practice. Overall, both the United States and Brazil’s health care system have their advantages and disadvantages. While American physicians are struggling with shrinking reimbursements and a surplus of patients, Brazilian physicians are struggling with a lack of equipment and supplies and are challenged by corruption regularly. While it seems that the United States is leaning towards a similar health care system to Brazil’s United Health System, Americans can correct the mistakes made by Brazil in regards to the treatment and use of its health care professionals. Thoeries Of Evolution Essay -- essays research papers fc

Thoeries of Evolution   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Evolution is the process by which living organisms originated on earth and have changed their forms to adapt to the changing environment. The earliest known fossil organisms are the single-celled forms resembling modern bacteria; they date from about 3.4 billion years ago. Evolution has resulted in successive radiations of new types of organisms, many of which have become extinct, but some of which have developed into the present fauna and flora of the world (Wilson 17).   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Evolution has been studied for nearly two centuries. One of the earliest evolutionists was Jean Baptiste de Lamarck, who argued that the patterns of resemblance found in various creatures arose through evolutionary modifications of a common lineage. Naturalists had already established that different animals are adapted to different modes of life and environmental conditions; Lamarck believed that environmental changes evoked in individual animals direct adaptive responses that could be passed on to their offspring as inheritable traits. This generalized hypothesis of evolution by acquired characteristics was not tested scientifically during Lamarck's lifetime. A successful explanation of evolutionary processes was proposed by Charles Darwin. His most famous book, On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection (1859), is a landmark in human understanding of nature. Pointing to variability within species, Darwin observed that while offspring inherit a resemblance to their parents, they are not identical to them. He further noted that some of the differences between offspring and parents were not due soley to the environment but were themselves often inheritable. Animal breeders were often able to change the characteristics of domestic animals by selecting for reproduction those individuals with the most desirable qualities. Darwin reasoned that, in nature, individuals with qualities that made them better adjusted to their environments or gave them higher reproductive capacities would tend to leave more offspring; such individuals were said to have higher fitness. Because more individuals are born than survive to breed, constant winnowing of the less fit-a natural selection-should occur, leading to a population that is well adapted to the environment it inhabits. When environmental conditions change, po... ...le in the short term have broad tolerances, which may better enable them to survive extensive changes. Human beings are uniquely adapted in that they make and use tools and devices and invent and propogate procedures that give them extended control over their environments. Humans are significantly changing the environment itself. The effects are most complex and cannot be predicted, and yet like the likelihood is that evolutionary patterns in the future will reflect the influence of the human species(Microsoft96). BACKGROUND This remarkable story began in 1946, in Italy, where, after the war, candy and confections wherein short supply and were purchased mainly for special occasions from the local sweet shop. It was here in northwestern Italy in the small town of Alba, that master confectioner Pietro Ferrero developed a system that enabled him to mass-produce true quality confections and offer them to consumers at reasonable prices. That original Ferrero philosophy was based on a few simple principles: ? Use only the highest-quality ingredients ? Be unique! Never copy anyone else; then Manufacture with the most modern technology Add to that, procedures for ensuring consumers taste only the freshest possible product, as well as some very clever marketing, and the Ferrero story began to unfold. Ferrero is company founded in 1946 in Alba. Originally from pastry shop, today Ferrero International is the world’s fourth largest companies in the confectionery Market. OVERVIEW Nutella chocolate spread is launching in local market although it’s available locally but a wide range of people have some confusion or not familiar with its usage and nutritious value. We are adding a variant which suits to our local environmental need. The competition locally is not very severe b/c people not aware of the product. And no company doing any sort of awareness campaign regarding it. Our product is not just. A chocolate spread but we link a high quality nutritious ingredients in it. The problem which we can face is creating product acceptability regarding its real core values. Locally we don’t have very strong competitor and to some extent imported items. So this is also an opportunity for us that locally no other company doing any sort of promotion and doing any product awareness activities. So it gives us a competitive edge. But the main point of differentiation which itself is very strong is the quality and its nutritious values. We are trying to focus children and mothers. Creating awareness among them and create a high acceptance and proper usage of it among them. The one more reason to target them is that they have a strong impact on buying decision. We just want to endorse it as a quality product which met the requirement of the growing child. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The product we take is the chocolate spread popular among the children. The product under NUTELLA brand is of very high quality, richer in texture and awesome in taste. Along with it, it’s really nutritious. Something new coming up in this umbrella brand. And we have done it by our pre-research campaign. In that we conduct three focus groups and take expert opinion with different doctors and nutritionist. So what’s new [pic] The upcoming new market champ is inducing a power of strength in every mama’s child. That is CHOCLATE SPREAD WITH ALMOND designed especially according to our local environment. [pic] OBECTIVE OF THE CAMPAIGN We took a product NUTELLA. And in this line no company doing any sort of promotion. A very few people know about these products although they exist in market. People use it but a very large no. of people doesn’t know about the products about its nutritious values and usage. We use it in many ways by doing little variations. Enjoy different taste, texture and awesome recipes. We can use it alone it is also very tasty and nutritious. Nutrition consider it a complete meal (covering 60% of your breakfast requirement). A healthy food for growing children’s and has very high acceptance and likability by growing child. The consumer is going to accept it because of its multipurpose usage. We can use it as it is. It’s ready to eat. It has high nutritious values. Multipurpose use in different range of products like in baking, toping, in dessert, for shakes etc As we all know Nutella already like and accepted by the market. So the new line range are highly accepted by the people who already like and accepted it as a nutritious product and prefer it for their child. They like new range of it and accepted. They got new options and variety of range in taste. Now to make our product successful we have to maintain that trust and belief of our potential customer. We have to assure quality and taste richness and variability of line. The objective of our campaign designed for Nutella is based on multiple objectives that are described below: TO INCREASE AWARENESS As we all know many chocolate spreads available in the market. Customers usually are not aware of the product and do not have brand differentiation in this line. We are tried to create market awareness for the product along with brand differentiation. We focus on its quality and its nutritious values. Ultimately, our prime objective is to generate awareness. Our campaign is basically designed for the purpose of letting the viewers know what NUTELLA is. TO PROMOTE USAGE The second objective of the campaign was to promote product usage. We do not only intend to make people aware of it, but also to convince them on its regular usage. We have showed in our TVC that Nutella is not a brand that is consumed once in a while; in fact it is a product that should be used on daily basis may it be breakfast, brunch, or the supper for that reason. It must be part of your daily breakfast line. Besides, we promote its multi usage like in baking, toping, in dessert, for shakes etc. Enjoy different taste, texture and awesome recipes. [pic] [pic] STATEMENT TO ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVE MAGIC OF MAMA HMMMMMMMMMMMMM †¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦ YUMMY! This is the line that attracts us most because it captures our whole idea. We can define it from three perspectives. First of all it tastes good. Normally children avoid eating any food and food supplement. Children like to eat it. It’s healthy its yummy child. So it’s magic for mummies i. e. ithout any hazel children eat healthy food and demanding more and more. Second perspective its healthy helps in growing, make you stronger. Give insta nt energy. So children associate with it as a magic given by their mama’s. Nutella gives an assurance of balance diet or a complete breakfast for kids or a must have a spoon in morning meal for kids. Children and females are the key motivator of buying decision. By using word mama we capture whole mothers segment. It gives sense of association. It is creating a bond between mom’s and Nutella. RATIONAL AND EMOTIONAL REASONS TO BELIEVE AND BUY The Rational Reasons to buy and believe Nutella is that, we have approved Nutella from the Specialists Doctors, Health Care Specialist and common people as well through focus group. They all approved Nutella as a completely safe and healthy product for children’s and for everyone. Nutella is healthy and nutritious product for the whole family health’s that’s why the rational reasons exist in to believe and buy Nutella. Every person wants to give healthy and nutritious food to his family and especially children. With the growing trend of working women, it is somewhat becoming a challenge for women to prepare breakfast early in the morning for the whole family. With Nutella, we provide them with ease & convenience that they are no more required to prepare the traditional breakfast in the morning, which, essentially is pretty time consuming; rather they can use Nutella chocolate spread to be enjoyed at breakfast with bread, bun, milk or cookies and having that equivalent nutritious values. Nutella could also be used in many desserts and in different shake. So people get many benefits from a single product and can use it in different ways. Then we on air offer digital adds before a week we will’ be available in the markets. The biggest plan we have, we r going to use computer base technology in diff places like arena hyper star forum park tower. We r installing a software which are working on a older concept of MR POPEY that is i. e. by eating a tin of spinach he got an extra ordinary power we using the same concept with the computerize effect by eating a tea spoon of Nutella children transform in a powerful corrector like bentan and power puff girl on the computer screen we are planting the computerize screen software in all the above mention places which catch the child along with their parents, we are placing Nutella stoles in many public places related to our target audience along with that we focus. We set our dummies product correctors in different public concentrated areas on different occasion i. e. ike book fair exhibition in expo etc, we decided to make that precious moment a event for others by setting flat screen panels in the mall, and decorate mall with the multihued banners and colures of Nutella. Last but not least, we have some surprising planning that will be reveal on the day on launching. MEDIA PLANNING M edia planning includes television, radio, newspaper, social networking sites, magazines, billboards and many others . the analytical frame work to consider which media to use, how to use them, when to use them and where to use them effectively and efficiently called media planning . the process of directing the advertising message to the target audience at the appropriate time and place using the using the appropriate channel. Your Title Goes Here

The Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy began after editorial cartoons depicting the Islamic prophet Muhammad were published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten on September 30, 2005. Danish Muslim organizations staged protests in response. As the controversy has grown, some or all of the cartoons have been reprinted in newspapers in more than fifty other countries, leading to violent protests involving hundreds of deaths, particularly in Muslim countries. I feel this is a suitable story to explore and analyze media bias and prejudiced reporting, as this is a highly controversial issue between a Muslim population sensitive over what they perceive as a global assault by the Western world on their religion and faith, and both liberals and right wingers alike who feel that freedom of speech is sacred and unassailable. As such, I have included news coverage from 3 distinct sources – Al-Jazeera, commonly regarded as the media champion of the Arab world; BBC, one of the oldest and respected media institutions in the world; and finally, a random daily newspaper from the United States, to compare the news coverage regarding this controversial issue, and to identify any media bias, negative reporting or partisan reporting. Al- Jazeera The link to the story can be found in the â€Å"Works Cited† section of this paper. We would expect from a preliminary basis that Al-Jazeera would typically play up the offensive nature of the cartoons, highlight the perceived insensitivities and double standards of the Western media vis-à  -vis the cartoons and the Holocaust, as well as champion the rights of the Muslim world. Surprisingly, this is not the case. The news article quoted seemed to be factual rather than opinionated in nature, quoting a variety of sources and viewpoints from both sides of the fence, from the Danish media and politicians to Hamas and other Islamic militant groups. No underlying or latent propaganda was detected; indeed, negative quotes were enclosed in double quotes, and attributed to its source. The language used was non-inflammatory, focused on facts and events, and there was no strong hint of an opinion piece. The closest the Al-Jazeera piece came to being biased was when it was reporting on the nature of the cartoons (drawings) at the heart of the controversy. The descriptions used were accurate, non-misleading, and mildly strong. However, there was no mention of the Western world point of view, or of the fact that the combined cartoons at the heart of the controversy which were spread by Danish imams contained 3 additional (highly offensive) drawings not published by the Jyllands-Posten. I conclude that the Al-Jazeera piece, when factual in nature and non-inflammatory, seems more interested in presenting the reaction of the Muslim world as well as the threats made by them, when ignoring the Western point of view. There seemed to be an unusual emphasis on the negative incidents such as attacks and boycotts that has occurred as a result of the backlash against the cartoons. BBC The report by the BBC is by far the most accurate and objective. It presents inconsistencies on the actions and words on both parties (the Danish media and the Danish imams who incited the controversy), reporting in detail how an editor of the Jyllands-Posten rejected cartoons of Jesus Christ with the reason that they would offend. Impressively, the particular section also included (in brackets) a update in which a reader pointed out that the paper did publish a cartoon of the biblical Joseph in 2000, and thus queries why the paper should be criticized over the rejection of the Jesus Christ cartoons, finally ending with the editor’s (of the BBC report) explanation of why the inconsistency was still valid. A detailed account of how the initial cartoons failed to spark any major outrage, until a group of Danish imams made concentrated efforts to spark a controversy by adding 3 cartoons which were highly offensive and insulting (more so that the original cartoons) and were not published by the Jyllands-Posten to a portfolio and touring various Middle Eastern Arab leaders with them follows. The report finally ends with a reflection of the viewpoints and the reaction of both sides. I was very impressed with the objectivity of the reports, and the lengths to which the writer went to portray the inconsistencies of both parties. Washington Post The report by the Washington Post is reminiscent of that by Al-Jazeera; non-inflammatory, factual in nature, no underlying propaganda or strong language, and drawing from a wide variety of sources. However, whereas Al-Jazeera’s report focused solely on the reaction of the Muslim world, Washington Post report carried a fair balance of the reactions of both the Western world and the Muslim world. There was a balance in the strength of the opinions and announcements from both side, and hence I find the Washington Post more balanced and objective, although the BBC outshines the Washington Post in this aspect. Preferred language style Essay Example

Preferred language style Essay Example Preferred language style Paper Preferred language style Paper Discuss organophosphates and the health risks associated with it. Include toxicology data including any dose/response data. Discuss the interaction of organophosphates with major human body organs from the most likely route of exposure. Please include any biotransformation and enzymes involved. Discuss how organophosphates interact with the environment (excluding humans). Identify current regulations on this chemical. Given the information above, provide suggestions for actions taken as an Environmental Manager and as a civically responsible citizen. I am sending an attached article entitled `Pesticides and human Health` to be used in my research paper. My order number is 71165495. I will also be sending information from one other source shortly.   Thanks,   Valerie Introduction Organophosphates compounds (OP’s) are chemical substances that are primarily being utilized as insecticides and pesticides throughout the world.   In certain other parts of the world they are also being utilized as chemical weapons.   The OP’s have a severe effect on the environment, to all plant, animal and human life. The chemical substance tends to work by inhibiting the enzyme cholinesterase in the body.   As the functioning of this enzyme is affected, several functions in the body are obstructed.   Some of the toxic effects of OP poisoning include:-  · Glaucoma (due to obstruction of the enzyme physostigmine)  · Myasthenia gravis (due to the obstruction of the enzyme neostigmine and pyridostigmine)  · Supraventricular tachycardia (due to obstruction of the enzyme edrophonium)  · Alzheimer’s disease (due to obstruction of the enzyme tetrahydroaminoacridine) (Aaron, 2001 PAN UK, 1996). In recent years, there has been increased concern of the effect of OP’s on the environment.   Several NGO’s and private groups are becoming more and more aware and are taking action against the increased use of OP’s as pesticide in household, agricultural and the industrial sector. Several of the developing and the developed nations are becoming more and more aware of the ill-effects of OP’s and are adopting legislations which could help minimize the use of such substances.   One of them has been Canada, and the Canadian Institute of Health Research has been playing an active role in determining the ill-effects of OP’s and in turn informing the government and the public. They are also informing the international community of the ill-effects of OP’s so that an international strategy, much more effective than a national one could be adopted.   Limiting the use of OP’s requires a collaborative effort from organizations belonging to various sectors. Several population study programs, child study programs, gene-environment interactions studies, have pointed out serious adverse-effects caused by OP’s on the environment.   Hence the current research priorities would be to determine any complex mechanism by which these OP’s could operate, develop strategies to minimize their usage, and in turn develop alternate pesticides which could help limit the use of OP’s (Ritter, 2006). OP’s were first identified in 1854, and were slowly being utilized as insecticides and pesticides.   Their toxicity effects were only recognized after the year 1930. Tetraethyl pyrophosphate (TEPP) was utilized as a product for Nerve gas development by the German army during the World War 2.   OP’s are one of the most toxic substances known to man.   They can harm and destroy any form of life including plant life, invertebrates, vertebrates, etc.   In the environment, they are very unstable and can react with almost any substance. More than 100, 000 OP’s have been developed in the laboratory for use, but only about 100 of them have been recognized for use as insecticides and pesticides.   Some of the OP’s are also being utilized as fungicides and herbicides.   Several major agrochemical giants are using OP’s in several products throughout the world.   These include Hostathion, Metasystox, Lorsban and Dursban.

5 Strategies for Faking It ‘Til You Make It at Work

5 Strategies for Faking It ‘Til You Make It at Work In an ideal world, we all know what we’re doing all the time. People come to us for our calm guru-ness, grateful as we solve problems with a self-assured answer or bit of advice. In reality, we don’t know it all. But with a bit of bravado and a lot of confidence, shhh†¦no one else needs to know that. Here are six things to work on to increase your workplace confidence, which can help you get that raise or lead a team to professional glory.1. Stop fearing failureFailing at something is not the end of the world. When I think about failing at work, it inevitably starts an imagined spiral of doom which ends with me on the unemployment line, wailing and gnashing my teeth over how things went so very wrong. But you know what? Things move forward when something (or someone) fails. It may be a stressful time, but you learn a lot about your problem-solving skills and your ability to rebound.Once you realize that your professional life is not over if you make a mistake or do n’t accomplish a particular goal, you can use that to build your confidence and see lousy outcomes as a chance to rebound into better things. (Note: I do not recommend using this method of confidence-building if you’re a heart surgeon.)2. Realize you’re not a fraudAre you familiar with imposter syndrome? It’s where you feel like you’re a sham and that everyone will somehow find out that you’re secretly winging it, or that you’re really a helpless kid wearing a tie and sitting in a cubicle. But you’re not winging it- the person sitting at your desk is you, with all of your experience and knowledge, whether you realize you have that arsenal or not. Own it! Your successes and your decisions belong to you, even if you feel unsure about them.3. Don’t always wear rose-colored glassesOptimism can be great†¦no one likes a Debbie Downer. However, overly optimistic thinking can actually undermine your confidence. It may give you a false sense that things will turn out well, and let you kinda go on autopilot to let things play out. The more confident approach is to be realistic about outcomes and understand what is within your power to make that happen.4. Figure out your valueOne of the best ways to be confident in your role is to recognize the strengths you bring to the table. Once you understand what you do well, you can strategize how to apply that to areas where you might be struggling a little or looking to build up experience or competence. You don’t have to go it alone- it’s fine to ask your boss or a colleague what they think your strengths are. In fact, it shows your boss that you’re taking a proactive approach to your role and really trying to bring your best self. What you learn about yourself (or what you take from your self-evaluation) can make you feel more competent in how you approach challenges.5. Make confidence a habitYou may roll your eyes at the idea of doing dail y affirmations in your mirror every morning, but honestly- it can’t hurt to make some positive thinking part of your daily routine. When you’re walking the dog, doing yoga, or waiting in line at the smoothie place, take a minute to reflect on any challenge you’re facing and think about how you are going to overcome it. Don’t stress about the how (not yet, anyway). Think about how you have the skills to take it on, and assure yourself that you will get it done. The confidence is there for the taking- you just need to be bold and grab it.
